It's true!! The Craft Ontario Shop will be displaying the kiln glass work of Ottawa-based maker Jennifer Anne Kelly (@jenniferakelly) from May 16 - June 15, 2025.

After working extensively in stained glass, Jennifer Anne Kelly began experimenting with kiln worked glass in 2010. This collection of work in the window feature are odes to the metaphors that humans interpret from natural scenes. This work is an exploration in how we struggle at times to relate to one another and the natural world, and at other times feel a profound interconnectedness with the universe.

The exhibition will be held in our Gordon Barnes Gallery in the Fall of 2025. Artists will also lead poppy-making projects in their own communities, which will then be displayed in an installation at site of their choosing. From May 9 – August 10, 2025, the AGB presents A Curve, Not a Line— a multi-sensory exhibition that blends curation and education in a truly immersive experience. At the heart of this exhibition is a fully functioning clay studio where audiences can witness the artistic process up close.

Every Sunday from 1–3 pm, local artists— curated in partnership with FUSION— will bring the studio to life with live demos, sharing techniques, tools, and stories behind the work. It’s all about connection, creativity, and community.

The AGB is looking for FUSION members to give live, hands-on demos from 1-3 pm on the following dates:

•May 10 (AGB 50th Anniversary BLOCK PARTY launch!)
•June 1

•August 3

Posted @withregram • @cdnclayandglass The Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery is now accepting submissions for the 2025 RBC Award for Glass! Submissions are due by Sunday, May 25, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST.

The RBC Award for Glass is a national award for emerging glass artists with $18,000 in prizes available. Eligible artists include those working in blown, flame-worked, fused, or stained glass. Thanks to the ongoing partnership between RBC and the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery, this award is presented annually to a practising emerging glass artist who works professionally and is in the early stages of their career.

The winner of the RBC Award for Glass will receive $10,000. One runner-up will receive a prize of $5,000. Up to 3 finalists will also be selected who will each receive a prize of $1,000. The winner, runner-up, and finalists will have their work featured in a group exhibition at the Canadian Clay & Glass Gallery September 2025 to January 2026. Prizes are inclusive of CARFAC exhibition fees. The Gallery also purchases an artwork by the winner and runner-up for the Permanent Collection each year.

The Award will be presented at the opening reception, held at the Gallery in Waterloo on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at 2:00pm. Transportation and accommodation will be provided for the winner, as required. To be eligible for the Award, applicants must be available to attend the reception on September 28th and be prepared to make a brief artist talk should they win the award. The winner and finalists will be notified in June.
