Emerging Artist Spotlight

Calling all clay and glass artists! Submissions are now open for the Spring 2026 Emerging Artist Spotlight in FUSION Magazine.

Each issue of FUSION Magazine highlights one clay artist and one glass artist, offering a platform to share fresh perspectives and inspiring new work from across Ontario’s vibrant community.

Emerging clay and glass artists bring curiosity, experimentation, and bold new ideas to their practice. Whether you’re building your portfolio, exhibiting for the first time, or carving out your unique voice in the craft world — we want to hear from you!

Eligibility:

FUSION considers emerging artists to be those in the early stages of their professional journey, typically within the first 8 years of dedicated practice, which may include:

  • Early exhibitions or shows

  • Recent post-secondary or workshop experience

  • Developing bodies of work

  • A growing commitment to your artistic path

If this sounds like you, apply now to be featured in the Spring 2026 issue. A jury will review submissions, and selected artists will collaborate with our editor to craft their spotlight feature.

Submissions must include an artist statement and/or biography that is no more than 500-750 words in length, along with five professional quality images of recent work (within 12 months). The images should be of professional quality. The Spotlight Magazine Featured Artist Panel will select featured artists and you will be contacted if you have been selected.

You must be a FUSION member to apply.
