Find everything you need to know — from benefits and discounts to how to join and get involved — all in one place.

What is FUSION, and who can become a member?FUSION is Ontario’s clay and glass association, connecting and supporting makers, educators, collectors, and enthusiasts. Anyone with an interest in clay or glass — from hobbyists to professionals — is welcome to join.

Are there different types of memberships?Yes. We offer individual, student, guild/institutional, senior memberships and more so you can choose the option that fits you best.

How much does membership cost?Membership rates vary, starting at $5, depending on the type. You can find up-to-date pricing on our membership page.

How long does my membership last?Memberships are active for one year from the date you join or renew.

What benefits do I receive as a member?Members enjoy discounted workshop rates, exhibition opportunities, professional development programs, access to FUSION Magazine, promotion of your work, and being a part of a vibrant community of artists. FUSION members also receive discounts from affiliate suppliers and organizations. Read a full list of benefits here.

How do I use my membership card and coupons?If you’re shopping in store, simply show your membership card and coupons at checkout. You may show them using your phone, or show a copy you have printed. When ordering online, some suppliers provide a discount code on their coupon, while others (such as Tucker's) prefer to be contacted by phone or email to know they should provide the discount.

Do members get discounts on workshops, events, or exhibitions?Yes! Members receive reduced pricing on FUSION events and selected partner programs, including our yearly and much anticipated conference.

Will my work be featured or promoted as a member?We regularly feature member work through our magazine, website, social media, newsletter and exhibitions.

Are there opportunities for networking and professional development?Absolutely. FUSION offers mentorship programs, workshops, exhibitions, and that help artists connect and grow. Join us at the next conference to connect and be inspired!

How does membership support the clay and glass community in Ontario?Your membership helps fund programs, scholarships, exhibitions, and advocacy efforts that keep the clay and glass community thriving. You’re also welcome to join as a Silver, Platinum, or Gold Member to deepen your support—or simply make a donation without becoming a member. Every contribution makes a difference!

Are there any benefits available to non-members?Yes! If you aren’t a FUSION member you can still enjoy some of our benefits, such as signing up for our newsletter, reading our archives of FUSION Magazine, applying for FUSION scholarships, and visiting our Calls for Entry listings. Some of our exhibitions, such as Connect Online, accept submissions from non-members as well. Many of our workshops, mentorships, conferences and other events are open to non-members at a different rate.

How do I become a member?It’s easy! You can sign up online through our membership page.

I’ve signed up as a site member on the FUSION website: am I a FUSION member now?Not yet! After you select a membership level, you will be prompted to sign up as a site member. You are not yet a FUSION member, nor eligible for any member benefits. Reselect your membership level in order to proceed with payment. Once you have completed the online registration and paid by credit card, you will be sent your membership card, savings coupons and receipt.

How do I renew my membership?As long as you have a valid payment method on your online FUSION account, your membership will auto-renew one year from the date you joined or last renewed. No need to do a thing!

Will I be reminded when my membership is about to expire?Yes, we’ll send you a friendly reminder before your renewal date.

Do I need to live in Ontario to join?No! While most members are based in Ontario, we welcome members from anywhere in the world.

Is there a student discount?Yes, we offer reduced rates for students with our Student Membership and our Student+ Membership. For new graduates, we are thrilled to offer a PSH-Sponsored New Grad Membership: FREE for one year! It's as easy as signing up.

How can I get involved as a volunteer or contributor?We love member involvement! Contact us to find out about volunteer roles, writing for FUSION Magazine, or helping with events.

Can my guild join FUSION?Yes! Guilds can become FUSION members and join our Provincial Guild Network, which connects clay and glass organizations across Ontario.

What benefits does my guild receive as a FUSION member?As a member guild, you’ll gain access to the Provincial Guild Network, a dedicated FUSION rep for support and collaboration, and opportunities to co-host workshops or conferences. Your guild will be featured in FUSION Magazine through profiles and Faces of FUSION interviews, FUSION Magazine for distribution to your guild members, and enjoy discounted Affiliate Memberships. Plus, your guild is eligible for the Annual Design Award, which includes free conference admission and a one-year FUSION membership. Please visit our Guilds page to read about all the benefits.

How does the Provincial Guild Network work?The Network meets quarterly online, offering a supportive space for guilds to connect, exchange ideas, and discuss shared interests. FUSION also organizes regular Zoom meetings with guild reps to foster inter-guild communication.

How else does FUSION promote guilds?We regularly highlight guild events, workshops, and member achievements through FUSION Magazine, social media, our newsletter and partnerships on special projects and mentorships.

My guild has a FUSION membership: can I join as an individual?Yes! Guild membership is separate from individual membership. As a guild member, you’re eligible for a discounted Affiliate Membership, which gives you your own membership card and coupons, voting privileges at the AGM, and access to member opportunities, events, and programs.

What should I do if my guild would like to collaborate with FUSION?If your guild is interested in being featured in FUSION Magazine or collaborating on a workshop, conference or other event, we would be delighted to hear from you!

How come I haven’t received my FUSION membership card and coupons?If you’re not receiving emails from FUSION, please check in your spam, promotions or other folders. You may choose to add us to your email contacts: fusion@clayandglass.on.ca, so you are more likely to receive mail from us. Upon membership renewal, membership cards and coupons are emailed out within the first week of the month following. If you still cannot find your card and coupons please contact us.

How do I update my payment method and other information?Log into your account on the FUSION website by clicking on the top right button at the top of the page. From the drop down menu select “My Wallet” where you can update your payment method. You may also update your other information using the drop down menu, such as a new email address, etc.

How come I haven’t received my copy of FUSION Magazine in the mail?FUSION Magazine is a digital publication, available to all and accessible from our website, along with an archive of back issues, full of valuable content for the clay and glass artist. Members receive FUSION Magazine delivered directly to their email inboxes.

Why has my membership lapsed/payment failed?This is most likely due to an expired payment method on file. You will need to update your membership account. If you have just recently made a payment and have received an email notification alerting you of a lapse or other issue, please contact us.
