We’re still reeling from a phenomenal conference weekend, along with the opening of Fireworks 2025 in Kingston, Ontario. The opening was an incredibly special event, with a record attendance of 160 people who came to celebrate the remarkable clay and glass talents of our exhibiting artists. The conference was epic from start to finish, from our vendor room full of the best goodies imaginable, to the mug and bowl table, raffles, and opportunities to mingle with OUR people! Of course, the Women in Clay conference would not be the wonderful event it was without our three star presenters: Naomi Clement @naomikclement , Grace Han @gracehanclay , and Candice Methe @candice_methe . We are infinitely inspired!

We’d like to take a moment to thank those who made it all possible, starting with our partner in bringing these events to life: the Kingston Potters’ Guild @kingstonpottersguild : one of the most passionate groups of potters and volunteers in the province. A special thanks goes out to Tania Craan @odessa_project for doing the design work for our conference posters and keepsake Women in Clay lapel pins.

The opening was a great success thanks to the Great Lakes Museum @greatlakesmuseumkingston and its staff, The Everly @theeverlykingston , MacKinnon Brothers Brewing @mackinnonbrewing , McDougall and MNP @mnpllp for our refreshments and nibbles, and Butternut Creek Group @butternutcreekflowers for the stunning floral arrangements.
