I hoped to challenge myself by working on a larger scale and exploring more complex forms. I applied because I have long admired Julie Moon’s work and was excited by the opportunity to learn from her approach. Her practice encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, experiment with unfamiliar processes, and push my own boundaries.
Creating a sculpture that incorporated water was particularly challenging for me. It required a great deal of experimentation, problem-solving, and trial and error. Although the process was difficult, it also allowed me to discover new ways of working and to better understand my own practice. Through this experience, I feel that I was able to overcome many of the challenges I encountered and ultimately achieve what I had set out to accomplish.
