FUSION Party and Awards: Saturday, November 19, 6-9 p.m. 

Featuring an array of clay and glass artists this show celebrates 24 years as a must-visit event to kick off the holiday season! 

This year's juror is Adeline La. Adeline has been the Shop Manager at the Gardiner Museum Shop since 2014. Inspired by her father who took the family on various outings to art shows and fairs across Ontario, Adeline enjoys interacting with artists and discovering the stories behind the art. She works to promote local makers and collaborates on feature projects such as exhibitions and artist talks.

Presented in partnership with The Ottawa Guild of Potters at the Nepean Visual Arts Centre, this Creative Directions weekend workshop offers FUSION members the opportunity to learn more about glazing and firing at Cone 6.

PUBLIC OPENING: May 19th, 6-8pm

FUSION’s popular annual exhibition, Breakthrough Plus, exhibits student, emerging and established artists. There were a record number of submissions this year and we are excited to feature the work of 32 FUSION members. 

Submissions were juried by John Gagné, curator and owner of Gagné Contemporary.

2020-2022 Creative Directions: New Pathways with Lesley McInally

Gaining Ground @ Satellite Project Space in London, Ontario

May 4 - 14, 2022

The show featured work by the Creative Directions artists including Andrea DeKay, Andrea Vuletin, Ann Randeraad, Catharina Goldnau, Catherine Thomas, Chris Snedden, D'Andrea Bowie, Darlene Pratt, Jane Paterak, Judy Morris, Kathleen Verbeek, Naila Rahim and Scott Barnim.

This workshop series is presented in collaboration with the Deep River Potters' Guild as part of FUSION'S Creative Directions program.

 This workshop series focused on atmospheric firing and surface treatments. Atmospheric changes and the movement of heat and flame within the kiln can have dynamic effects on the ceramic form.  For more information and photos of Dan’s work, visit www.hillpottery.com
