A few basic rules
The web page layout is standardized for a reason. FUSION cannot provide a different layout/format for each member.
FUSION will cover all costs relating to the layout, design and creation of each single Member’s Gallery page as per the stated FUSION template and guidelines. FUSION will also absorb all costs relating to the linking (accessibility) of that page from within the FUSION site, and will cover all Internet Service Provider (ISP) fees for storing and/or accessing that single member page.
If you don't want a free web page, but want us to link to your pottery or glass personal site (and you are a current FUSION member), send the FUSION office your web address.
The timeframe for having your free FUSION Gallery page begins once your page is linked live AND provided you remain a FUSION member throughout the following 12 month period (minimum). If your membership lapses for any reason, then FUSION reserves the right to de-link your page from our Members’ Gallery section, and/or delete URL references from the FUSION Links page.
De-linked members’ pages (for people who are no longer members) will be deleted from the FUSION website with our Internet Service Provider at the end of the current calendar year in which the membership expired.
Please provide your current membership expiry date (refer to your Profile). All memberships will be checked and confirmed by the FUSION office before any work is started on the member’s page.
FUSION’s WebMaster will notify the member when their page is completed, via email. Members are responsible for proofing their own page on the web for typos etc., and communicating same back to WebMaster.
Any updates to images or revisions to text requested by the member after the Gallery page has been linked live will become the financial responsibility of the member, and will not be covered by FUSION under its free web page offer. This means that members will be responsible for arranging work and payment directly with the FUSION WebMaster for same.
Any revisions to the member’s Gallery page must conform to the existing Gallery format/template. Failure to follow the template guidelines may result in your Request Form being emailed back to you for revising.
FUSION reserves the right to reject any images or text submitted to its Online Members' Gallery which it deems to be defamatory, obscene or 'offensive' to the general public. Images and/or text deemed racist, promoting hatred, pornographic or demeaning to individuals will also not be accepted for the Online Members' Gallery.
FUSION does not make any warranties or representations express or implied, as to the content or accuracy of the Content placed on the Online Members' Gallery. FUSION disclaims all warranties and conditions, whether arising in law or under statute, including all warranties or conditions of merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose or those arising from a course of dealing or usage of trade.
FUSION'S free web page offer is limited to our members.
Guidelines for Emailing Images
Maximum of five (5) colour images of recent work allowed.
We accept a jpg or gif file only, with a resolution of between 100 and 300 dots per inch (dpi). (Please note that PC monitors are limited in their ability to display resolution higher than 72-100 dpi, so if you send us high-resolution images, they will display in the 72-100 range.)
Ensure that images are of good quality, with good lighting. You may want to hire a professional to take some good slides or photos!
Name each of the five images with your first initial and last name i.e. hpotter1.jpg, hpotter2.jpg, etc etc. That way, we can always keep the images filed at our end under the correct artist’s name.
Make sure the WebMaster knows the titles of any pieces (if titled) and the dimensions and medium. These details should be indicated clearly in your accompanying email when you email the images to the WebMaster.
Example: hpotter1.jpg - Porcelain bowl: “Heart’s Delight”
4 x 5 inches
All images and text are to be emailed to Derek Chung.
