CALL FOR
ENTRY
Water, with its fluidity and transformative power, offers endless inspiration for artistic expression. We invite clay and glass artists to explore this theme, celebrating water's beauty, movement, and impact through their work.

​FUSION invites members to exhibit their work in a travelling exhibition which will be displayed in different locations throughout Ontario. The exhibition will also appear online at www.clayandglass.on.ca.

FUSION is pleased to offer the following awards:

​The Fireworks 2025 juror is ceramic artist Susan Collett. The theme is water.

The Great Lakes Museum, Kingston, ON from May 30 - July 7, 2025

Opening reception on Friday, May 30 from 6-8 p.m. at the Great Lakes Museum

Gagne Contemporary, Toronto, ON from August 15 - September 13, 2025

The Carnegie Gallery, Dundas, ON from October 3 - November 9, 2025

Closing reception on Sunday, November 9 from 1-4 p.m.

Clay and glass artists of all levels who are also FUSION members are invited to apply

As Fireworks is a travelling exhibition, submissions should be suitable for transport to multiple venues. Works should be easy to unpack and repack by gallery attendants, and extremely fragile or complex installations and wall pieces may not be ideal.
Since 1984, Fireworks, organized by FUSION: The Ontario Clay and Glass Association, has celebrated excellence in clay and glass art. This biennial exhibition showcases innovative works by Canadian artists and serves as a platform for showcasing the evolution of contemporary ceramic and glass practices. Over the years, it has become one of the most prestigious exhibitions in the field.

Meet the Juror
SUSAN COLLETT
Susan Collett is a graduate from the Cleveland Institute of Art, Ohio U.S.A. earning a BFA degree in Printmaking with a Minor in Ceramics. Since 1993 she has run a full-time studio art practice in downtown Toronto. Public and private gallery exhibitions and commission work sustain her full-time practice. Large-scale clay sculpture and printmaking has become the focus of her work.
​Her work was has been included in the Toronto International Art Fair 2013 & 2014 with Sandra Ainsley Gallery, accepted to the Korean Biennale 2015 & Taiwan Biennale 2012, International Triennial of Silicate Arts, Kecskemet, Hungary 2011, Sevres Porcelain Museum, Paris, 2010, and an honourable mention at the CEBIKO International Ceramics Biennale in Korea 2009. She has exhibited at SOFA Chicago & New York, Palm Beach and the Toronto International Art Fair.​
