John Colbeck makes unglazed, polished thrown forms in stoneware and porcelain. He has taught full and part time courses in the U.K. and seminars abroad throughout his working life. Discussions will also be on the nature and formulation of clay bodies, how he has evolved clay bodies to suit particular purposes.
For many years, he was Head of Ceramics at Bath Academy of Art. John has authored many definitive books on throwing and decorating. He currently teaches at La Meridiana in Italy.
